Tickets for India’s ICC World Cup 2023 Matches Sell Out in Minutes

ICC Cricket World Cup 2023:

Cricket fans around the world are buzzing with excitement as tickets for selected India matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 disappeared in mere minutes during the pre-sale phase. The ticket frenzy unfolded on Thursday, August 31, with fans racing to secure their spots to witness the cricketing action live.

A day earlier, the pre-sale of tickets for two warm-up matches featuring India had garnered a mixed response. The India vs England warm-up match quickly sold out within hours, while tickets for the other warm-up game featuring the Netherlands were still available at the time of publishing this story.

The ticket sales for three highly anticipated India matches—India vs Australia, India vs Bangladesh, and India vs Afghanistan—commenced in phases starting at 8 pm IST on August 31. To the astonishment of many, these tickets were snatched up within minutes of being made available on the BookMyShow platform.

Several fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment, highlighting issues similar to those experienced during the ticket sales on August 29, which had been restricted exclusively for MasterCard users. Some users who attempted to book tickets were greeted with a message or placed in a queue for up to 3-4 hours.

“We’ve limited seats available and are experiencing a very high demand currently. Hence, you’ve been placed in a queue. We request your cooperation and patience. Thank you!”

However, amidst the rush, lucky fans shared their delight at successfully securing tickets for these highly sought-after India matches.
